𓆟 Empower the communities in our region, especially underserved youth, to see themselves as scientists and lifelong stewards of their environment.
𓆟 To be guided by and to amplify our Indigenous neighbors’ deep understanding of our watershed. 𓆟 Increase our community’s knowledge of natural resource issues. |
Values
𓆟 Diverse restoration and monitoring strategies and narratives, including Indigenous ways of knowing, are necessary for sound ecosystem management and long standing ecological health.
𓆟 Young people deserve opportunities to learn in, thrive in, and appreciate the outdoors, so they become informed and engaged champions for our natural resources now and in the future. 𓆟 Everyone can do science. 𓆟 Career connected learning and STEAM education opportunities abound in watershed monitoring. |
